ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ABAP Developer & Architect to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-grade SAP products. This role combines deep hands-on ABAP expertise, architectural leadership, and product-focused thinking.
As a senior technical authority, you will shape scalable, cloud-ready SAP solutions using modern ABAP paradigms, SAP RAP, and SAP BTP, while mentoring development teams and collaborating closely with SAP Product Teams to ensure alignment with SAP’s strategic roadmap.

This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in product development environments, value clean architecture and code quality, and enjoy influencing long-term technical direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Lead the end-to-end design and development of SAP ABAP add-ons and product features, from concept through delivery and maintenance
Define and enforce ABAP development standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices
Designscalable, extensible, and upgrade-safe architecturesaligned with SAP roadmap principles
Drive adoption of modern ABAP, including RAP, CDS, ABAP OO, and clean core principles
Architect and implement cloud-enabled and hybrid solutionsleveraging SAP BTP
Guide teams through performance optimization, code quality reviews, and technical refactoring
Collaborate closely with SAP Product Teams, product management, and cross-functional stakeholders
Lead technical decision-making, risk assessment, and feasibility analysis
Mentor, coach, and technically enable ABAP developers across seniority levels
Contribute to long-term product strategy, innovation initiatives, and technical roadmap planning

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Core SAP & ABAP Expertise
- Expert-level knowledge of ABAP Add-On Development, including life cycle management, transport strategy, and release compatibility
- Strong command of Object-Oriented ABAP, clean code principles, and design patterns
- Deep expertiseinSAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and service-based architectures
- Advanced experience with CDS Views, OData services, and modern UI integration
SAP BTP & Cloud
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, side-by-side extensibility, and integrations
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and event-driven scenarios
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing is a plus
Architecture & Quality
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures
- Strong focus on code quality, testability, and maintainability
- Experience aligning solutions with Clean Core and SAP extensibility guidelines

YOUR ROLE

Analyze, design, and implement the transformation of Classical ABAP code to Clean
Core ABAP.
Develop and enhance applications using ABAP on Cloud and RAP frameworks.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and opOmize the SAP
S/4HANA OTC cycle, ensuring seamless integration with technical solutions.
Ensure adherence to SAP best pracOces for Clean Core development
Develop, troubleshoot, and opOmize CDS Views, OData services, and AMDPs to
support OTC processes.
Perform code reviews, tesOng, and debugging to ensure opOmal performance.
Provide experOse in SAP S/4HANA workflows, business processes, and
enhancements
Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and provide recommendations for
process improvements.
Support system integration, migration, and troubleshooting actvites as needed.
You will accompany the projects you are in charge of through all phases from the initial consultation to the implementation, migrations, and country roll-outs (conception, UAT, GoLive)

YOUR PROFILE

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
ExperOse in ABAP on Cloud and RESTful ApplicaSon Programming (RAP)
frameworks.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Classical ABAP to Clean Core
Conversion.
Solid understanding of the SAP S/4HANA OTC cycle, including:
Sales Order Processin
Pricing and Billing
Delivery and Logistics Execution
Integration with Finance and other modules.
Proficiency in CDS Views, OData services, and AMDP development.
Experience in troubleshooOng and performance optimization of ABAP programs.
Good working experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP ABAP certification in Cloud or S/4HANA.
Experience in Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development is a plus.
